Borders in tables in player's character page

I feel like I am going nuts. I had it working to some time ago (although not as desired) and now I can't seem to get borders working within tables at all and can not seem to find a solution via searches.. I can get borders on the outside edges without an issue but not within. I'm a player so I can't change the CSS of the page itself.

Any thoughts?

Put OP Nav Bar dropdown underneath NavBar?

I'm trying to mess with the layering of the OP NavBar, such that the mouse over dropdowns appear underneath the NavBar but on top of the site content.

At first I thought it was an issue of the position and z-index elements, but after spending a ton of time, I functionally got nowhere. My Google-fu suggested also trying the opacity element to help with my layering, again, no bueno.

When I hit a stumbler like this, it tells me I'm missing something obvious. I cleaned out all my code mods to mess with layering, and tackled the problem fresh, but still can't seem to make it work like I'd like.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks,

So, in my CSS, I have a command to make all images slightly transparent and sepia-toned until you hover over them.

My question is, is there a way to make a particular image not inherit this property?

It looks great on everything but my landing page image map, which I want to pop with color.

Character Pages Formatting Mistake

It seems that Character Pages have some sort of editing to make everything on them take up 100% of a page's width no matter what your CSS editing entails. Is this intentional or a bug?

Hiding adventure log's title but...

I use this CSS to hide each adventure's log title, and it work fine :

But with this code, the titles on the right "timeline" sidebar vanish (the right sidebar on each adventure log)...

How can I hide the title but only for the adventure log page, and on the top of each log's page?

How to lock the page width

I can set the minimum width in the settings but you can maximize the character pages so that the graphics blow completely out of proportions. I would like to be able to lock the width so that no matter how you resize the browser the text area is always 1300px.

Is that posible without hundreds of lines of CSS?

Adventure log subtitles: wrap instead of truncate?

I don't know whether this is true for every OP template or just the one I'm using, but when I view an adventure log whose subtitle is too long for the line, instead of wrapping the subtitle, it gets cut off with an ellipsis appended to the end. I'd rather have the subtitle display in full. Is there any way to make this happen?

Disclaimer: It's been quite a while (read: pre-reforge) since I've tried to do any major editing to a campaign.

I've been trying to use this format to outline landmarks & districts within cities in my campaign. However, while the code looks perfectly fine in the editor preview, once I save it appears to be a garbage mishmash of raw code and some functional formatting. Am I just grossly overlooking something? Have I not made enough sacrifices to the eldritch code gods? How can I beat this into submission? Please and many thanks!

Youtube video gone from my front page

So I went on to my site tonight to add a wiki page.

And switched from CK to Textile and back.

And now my video on my front page is gone.

I've tried to re-embed it and nothing but code shows up on the page.

(I inserted the video with the youtube button in the editor here...now nothing /sigh)

How to remove the 'Description' and 'Bio' headers?

We have just gotten a new campaign going and I am playing around with the design.

On the character pages you have a Description and a Bio header hard coded into the page when we really don't want htem. Is there a way to remove these from the page? Or maybe change their colors to white so the kind of disapear?

Media Folders - Images are not showing up

I am creating some media folders for my campaign and when I upload images into them, they show up in the folder structure the first time. However, when I return to the Media Library and click on the folder name, they are no longer showing up in the browser. They are accessible when I go to 'embed' or link images but I cannot see them otherwise.

Is this a problem anyone else is noticing?

Is there a way to recover a deleted page?

I copied the contents of a page and then deleted it. Unfortunately due to some pasting/undoing I lost the copy from my clipboard.

When you delete a page it warns that it will get moved to the trash bin and then deleted after a few days. Is there any way to recover it from the trash bin? It's not a big deal if not, I only wanted to keep it around for legacy purposes. I looked around for the trash bin but couldn't find it.

...someone broke into my bank account just before Christmas (nice security Wells Fargo!) and drained my account. I've since cancelled the card I was using and had a new one issued. I'd like to update the info here so my payments keep rolling to OP smooth and easy. Under payment details there's a handy link called "Update Payment Details", perfect! Apparently it's just for show. Click on it, nothing. I get the little "browser is trying like hell to get there" spinner thingy, then nothing. Useless.

I'd prefer not to wait for the account to default to NON-PAYMENT CANCELLATION status before having an opportunity to update this. Kindly fix this and get back to me please.

Formatting Videos?

I was wondering if anyone had put together a series of videos explaining how (with video) to change the formatting for the website? For whatever reason, I find customizing the formatting in Obsidian Portal incredibly confusing. I have some knowledge of CSS and HTML, but I am by no means a master.

I'm accustomed to working in fidgety forum-based sites for my games (various roleplay sites, or things like gaiaonline). I've used these no so that we can do online roleplaying, but so that we can track our pen-and-paper games. So, obviously, I thought that OP would be a great place to move to.

I'm constantly annoyed by how fragile the OP layout is. I don't, necessarily, want to edit the deeper HTML code for the site, I just want to be able to change the way a viewer interacts with a page on a superficial level. Between having to look up specific CSS coding, and trying to understand how the base site works, I'm unreasonably frustrated.

At the uncomplicated end of things: why does simple formatting (such as adding "_" to the beginning and end of a sentence), _sometimes_ make things italic, and sometimes not? Why does, in the editor, it show up as italic, and in the "published" page show up with the "_" visible and the italics missing? I can only conclude that it's user-error.

I'm entirely willing to admit that I'm probably misunderstanding something. I'm willing to learn, but I might need some hand-holding. Hence, searching for video explanations.

Some things I've tried to do and failed at miserably:

Insert videos at a smaller size.

Insert images which text wraps around (I've had... varying degrees of success with this).

TABLES (no, seriously, for whatever reason they're incredibly difficult to create/edit/maintain)

Create a "City Gallery."

Sometimes when I put links into pages it doesn't create a link? I've had to add the link multiple times to get it to work. Not sure why that is.

...There are other things, but I can't recall what they were at this time.

Honestly, using a simpler system that I could beat into doing what I wanted, was less frustrating than this "freer" setup--probably because I felt more like a problem-solver and less like an idiot.

Oddity with Files and Folders

For my campaign I've created a series of folders for storing images and other assets I'm going to use in my campaign page. However, it seems that after a while these subfolders don't 'work' anymore. I will start clicking on them in instead of going to that subfolder with the images, I'm returned to the top level folder. Is this something anyone else has noticed?

Inconsistent Table Formatting

I'm having some intensely frustrating times trying to figure out why a particular table is formatting inconsistently. I have a set of navigation links at the bottom of my pages, coded like so:

ETA: Seems to be some trouble with the code I was using to change the font size, specifically p{font-size:85%}.. I'll have to mash something together.

Menu non-functional on smartphones after CSS

I've been re-acquainting myself with CSS to do some work on my page--bear with me; it's literally been years since I messed with it. With the help of a number of examples, campaign sites and tutorials I've got a layout I like okay:

Here's the problem. While it looks great on a computer, when viewed on a smartphone, the navbar vanishes completely, and the general OP menu at the top of the screen no longer responds to touch. It seems to work fine on my tablet (a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2). Hoping someone can help me work this out. I've tried a sample of code for mobile devices but it hasn't had any effect.

Noob question: is there a way to remove double spacing?

Hey just wondering if there's a simple way to remove double spacing? Whenever I hit return it creates a new paragraph. It also does it in list indents (despite appearing as single spaced text in the editing page), which is super annoying.

Why do fonts show up in the editor but not on the actual page?

I'm creating a new campaign, and in the editor it has buttons I can press to underline things or change the font of my text. When I click the button, the font appears to change, but when I click save changes and then load the actual page, all of the text is the same font. Also, insead of underlining the text I wanted underlined, it just puts " and " around it. You can see what I'm talking about here:
