Now that my site went very sideways after the reforge, I gutted 98% of my customization and am starting over. I've been trying to go through these forums but it's hard to sort through all the old/pre-reforge CSS help and the more recent and applicable CSS help.

For the left hand Navigation bar...
1. Can we turn the left hand vertical bar off an move it back to the top horizontal row of menus?
2. Can we hide certain menu items (I want to remove Adventure-log and Forums)
3. Can we rename certain menu items (Change Characters to Cast)
4. And finally can we add custom links. (Like say add a link that takes you to a certain wiki page)

Thanks in advanced for any assistance.

For a couple of of years, I was an Ascendant member, and I added a third campaign. Once I was no longer Ascendant, I couldn't edit or create new pages for "the third campaign":https://space-truckin.obsidianportal.com/.

I have since deleted one of the earlier campaigns, leaving me with just two campaigns again; however, I still cannot edit the pages of the (now) second campaign.
Do non-Ascendant OP users still get two campaign wikis, and if so, is it possible to 'unlock' my second campaign so that it can be edited again?

Quick question, and apologies in advance if this has already been answered elsewhere, I've been away for awhile and am somewhat intimidated about the sheer amount of discussions and posts on the reforge that have occurred in my absence. So I have a campaign, known to some of you, that I spent a great deal of time formatting (in HTML) long before the reforge. On revisiting it I've found that the formatting is now a hairy mess. Now, I know I'm going to have to learn CSS in order to attempt to "reforge" my site, but my biggest problem at the moment is that (1) I can't access some important links due to the fact that they are now obscured or covered over by images due to the altered format (see "this example":https://age-of-legends.obsidianportal.com/wikis/religion), and (2) I can't even edit a lot of these paged due to the fact that the edit button appears to be covered up as well. Is there some other way to access the text editor? Feeling a bit disheartened by this and could use a bit of help from those of you who are more knowledgeable than I. Thanks in advance for the help.
Cheers,
Is there a way I can change the default color of the quote style? I'd like to change the color of all my quoted text (the chat logs) to be something more easily readable but I'd like to try a solution that is retroactive since the new reforge so that all my existing quote text is also changed.
Any ideas?
I am wondering if I can see all of the wikis that have yet to be edited and fleshed out. I guess viewers of my campaign would call them broken wiki links because they have not been filled out at all by the GM. I am not quite sure what they are called.

When I write I like to just keep moving. Occasionally I leave a wiki unedited and forget about it. I try to go back to fill them all out, but I inevitably miss a few. Is there a way to view a list of these? Or is my only option to copy and paste them onto my own list - which creates breaks in my speed writing.

Hi all,
First thing, as a longtime ascendant member, I like the new look. Much cleaner and more modern. Obviously there are some growing pains, but that's to be expected for any "1.0" release.
I just had a quick question about the banner container height. I am trying to shrink the height to 180 pixels (slightly taller than my image). Here is my campaign site:
"Denizens of the Nentir Vale":https://denizens.obsidianportal.com
You can see that there is too much space between the banner and the top of the 3 sections. I've tried various CSS snippets from other posts, but nothing seems to shrink the entire banner container area. Here is my current css:

bc. /* Make my banner image honor its width instead of stretching */
.campaign-banner-image{ background-size: 900px; background-repeat: no-repeat; }
/* FAILED ATTEMPT: .campaign-public-layout #banner-container .campaign-banner-image {height: 180px;} */
/* Removes "highlights" and space above banner */
.campaign-public-layout .highlight-container {display:none;}
.campaign-public-layout #campaign-summary-row .row {opacity: 0.0; height: 0px}
/* Make the banner only show up on the first page. */
#banner-container { display:none; }
.campaign-landing-show #banner-container { display:block; }

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
p.s. is there a page somewhere which lists all of the available OP style classes, such as "campaign-public-layout", "banner-container", etc.?

Individual character icons for adventure log teasers

I was scrolling through the adventure logs for my campaign when I realized I hadn't done enough to distinguish the different characters' voices from each other in their adventure logs. I've seen a lot of great campaigns where each character's logs appear in a different kind of script, but for my setting (Warhammer 40k) I'd prefer not to have any handwritten fonts.

Instead I decided to use the awesome game icons found at "Game-icons.net":http://game-icons.net/. The following CSS will put an icon on each teaser on the adventure log page but hide it when the log entry is viewed in full.

@/* Sets a space for the icon in the teaser */
.teaser .adv-summary {
width:80px;
float:right;
margin:0px 0px 5px 5px;
border-radius:5px;
}@

If you don't actually want to hide the icon in the full log entry, change the following to something that highlights the icon to fit the style on your page:

@/* Hides the logo in the full log */
.full .adv-summary {width:0px;}@

I uploaded each image at full 512x512 size so that I can scale it down at will. I want to use these icons in other places eventually and keeping them in CSS will allow me flexibility to change icons en masse if I find a different scheme that I like more. The icons are all associated with characters here:

@/*Defines a different icon for each character */
.gm-logo {content:url(https://db4sgowjqfwig.cloudfront.net/assets/259169/bookmarklet.png?1383878258);}
.victrix-logo {content:url(https://db4sgowjqfwig.cloudfront.net/assets/259279/missile-pod.png?1383895868);}
.kavik-logo {content:url(https://db4sgowjqfwig.cloudfront.net/assets/258935/winged-sword.png?1383855555);}@

When you're writing a log, put the following line at the very top to insert the character logo:

@@

You can see this in action at my "adventure log page":https://into-that-vast-expanse.obsidianportal.com/adventure-log where I'm just starting to implement it.
Quick 'n Dirty Post-Reforge CSS Fix

A few lines collected from other threads (so the original credit for most of it isn't mine), tweaked, and then boiled down to the basics. This should help those who didn't do much CSS coding beforehand, but are finding that the Reforge is playing shenanigans with their formatting.

This is what I have cobbled together in a couple hours (minus my own campaign customizations), so I may expand it going forward, but will try to keep it generic (no fiddling with colors, effects, or custom graphics - just sizing, placement, etc...).

This should do the following:
* Restore pre-Reforge banner size
* Restore pre-Reforge page width/size, so that should help with much of the formatting errors from the narrower size (also aligns/resizes navbar and sidebar to allow for this, without having to use the minimized navbar icons)
* Eliminate some of that empty space and new, nonessential elements near the top.
* This will only affect the public-facing portions of your campaign (dashboard and such should not be affected)
* Adjust Characters, Items, and Maps pages to fit this layout
* Restore Pre-Reforge table appearance/functionality
* Restore pre-Reforge link behavior and colors

How to use:
* In your campaign, go to "Dashboard", then "Settings"
* Navigate to the "Style" tab
* Copy the lines below and paste into the "Custom CSS" section
* Scroll down and click "Save"

@/* RESTORES PREFORGE BANNER SIZE */
.campaign-public-layout #banner-container .campaign-banner-image {fixed; height: 300px; width: 750px; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto;}
/* REMOVES "HIGHLIGHTS" AND SPACE ABOVE BANNER */
.campaign-public-layout .highlight-container {display:none;}
.campaign-public-layout #campaign-summary-row .row {opacity: 0.0; height: 30px}
/* RESTORES PREFORGE TABLE FUNCTIONALITY */
#content table {background-color: transparent; border-style: none;}
#content tr:nth-child(even) {background-color: transparent;}
/* RESTORE PREFORGE LINK COLORS AND BEHAVIOR */
#content a:link {color:darkblue;text-decoration:none;}
#content a:visited {color:darkblue;text-decoration:none;}
#content a:hover {color:blue;text-decoration:underline;}
#content a:active {color:darkblue;text-decoration:none;}
#content a:link.create-wiki-page-link {color:red;text-decoration:none;}
#content a:visited.create-wiki-page-link {color:red;text-decoration:none;}
#content a:hover.create-wiki-page-link {color:lightred;text-decoration:underline;}
#content a:active.create-wiki-page-link {color:red;text-decoration:underline;}@

For those who would like to restore just the aspect ratio, but the original banner will be blown up to cover the whole layout width, replace the first line with this:

@/* RESTORES PREFORGE BANNER ASPECT RATIO */
.campaign-public-layout #banner-container .campaign-banner-image {height: 440px;}@

Also moving the original code to resize page width to this separate area, since it can now be done in the campaign settings (Dashboard > Settings > Advanced > Content Max Width). This should be set to 1368 to achieve the old page width of 730 (which will preserve the current OP sidebar and navbar).

@/* RESTORES PREFORGE PAGE WIDTH AND BALANCES NAVBAR/SIDEBAR */
.campaign-public-layout #content {max-width:1100px}
.campaign-public-layout .main-content-container {width:730px; padding: 0px;}
.campaign-public-layout .campaign-landing-page-container {width:730px; padding: 0px;}
.campaign-public-layout .section {width:730px;}
.campaign-public-layout .post-main {width:730px;}
.campaign-public-layout .front-nav-container {position:relative; z-index:5; width: 185px}
.campaign-public-layout .sidebar {position:relative; z-index:5; width: 185px}
/* ADJUSTS CHARACTER, ITEM, AND MAP PAGES TO NEW LAYOUT */
.collapsable-nav-row .full-width.main-content-container {width: 900px; padding: 0px;}@

Not sure if anyone has asked.

In our old system, I could click on a image in the list of images, and it would paste the url. such as:

bc. !http://cdn.obsidianportal.com/assets/34925/Library.jpg(Library)!

It now pastes the image like this:

bc. !(media-item-align-none)//db4sgowjqfwig.cloudfront.net/assets/34925/Library.jpg?1295526539(Library.jpg)!

I was able, in the past, to then simply grab the image url, and paste it into whatever code I wanted to use, such as:

bc. background-image:url('http://cdn.obsidianportal.com/assets/34925/Library.jpg');

How do I do the same using the new code? Does this make sense? Help please, because this is a major change and I am clueless as to how to use the new code to do what I want done.

Thanks,
But since they changed everything we can't get them to work anymore. Anyone know if there is a new code or how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on what's happening, or at least other people who might be having this problem may come forward.

I've got two campaigns that I'm a player in where the wiki links and character links buttons don't seem to do anything when you click on them. I asked two other players on different computers and different networks to try them out, and they aren't working for them either. Oddly, when the DM let me use his login, it worked just fine. It also works just fine for the other campaigns that I'm a player or GM in. I tried stripping out all of the CSS code, and even everything on the front-page just in case, for those campaigns in case something was interfering, but that didn't get it working either. Does anyone have suggestions of what might be going on? I'm really hoping this is a case of user error.
Thanks!

New layout and sub forums?

I can't seem to find an overview of the main forum and the different subforums in my campaign. We will have many different threads and it will be hard to keep them separated, stickied etc if one can't use the normal top down navigation approach?

I saw that you could place a thread in a subforum, so subforums are not gone, when you create the thread or later on edit it. But what difference will that make? How can you create/manage new subforums?

Second question, how do I delete a thread?

Any info would be appreciated.

I've tried that with several other free CSS provided by other Obsidian users and the results are weird to say the least. I'd appreciate if someone could give me some initial pointers.
The new character pages are broken up into two sections (Description- stats and crunch and Biography- story and fluff).. Since I'm running a more story-oriented game in a rules-light system, I was wondering if there is a way to flip the order they are displayed in so the story section is on top for emphasis? Failing that, is there a way to change the heading names? (So I could put the information into the "wrong" box on the edit screen and still have the end result I want..)

Here's a lesson about color for text and background: Either the text or the background needs to be a dark color while the other is a light color.

With that said I went to edit my Adventure Log and you have a light gray background for the text box with white text. This color scheme is extremely difficult to read. Please make one of them, the background or the text, darker so the text is easy to read and not a strain on the eyes.

Thank you.
