Ok so I am trying to add a larger/more detailed map that what OP allows (they limit at 2 megs). So I found another service that does the exact same thing but uses a different api for the map and allows for higher res maps. The only problem is the only way I can think of putting the map into a site is a iframe. I would prefer to not have to link out of site if I don't need to.

Ok so here is a example of the iframe code
I tried converting it to Object code just incase OP can use object with this code

I recently encountered that all of my GM-only characters are visible to the party. When they click on the links, they get the whole "Only viewable GM" part, but what bugs me is that they can even see the name in the first place. Is this supposed to happen? Is there a suggestion forum I can go to to request that this stop being the case? Almost all the characters on my profile are NOT supposed to have even their names known to the party, as they are all big plot reveals.

And before someone gives me the suggestion that I simply delete the characters altogether, I'll get this out of the way right now: Forget that noise. These are characters that have a lot of story to them, and I'd rather that their stuff was up on the Portal for me to be able to access, change, and type. It just bothers me that all of my players can see the names. If they can't read the material anyway, and they are GM-only characters, why are they're names even there?
Thanks for any help that anyone can offer on this, I seriously would like to see this change.

I currently see the immediate effect of my players looking for other ways to increase their AC(Combat Expertise, Amulet of Natural Armor) or to disable enemies as fast as possible. Looking at some of the creatures at higher levels, I can foresee problems where some of these monsters since they have ungodly high attack bonuses.
On my site, I've done up Custom Character Sheet screens. I'm not using the built in OP one as I'm not using CSS too heavily (my game starts in a few weeks and not enough time to redo the entire site).
Anyhow, my players (or myself and then transferred them to their players) have entered their characters through the normal OP means, so, they are listed in the OP Box on the right (ie Andromeda Spiradakos by Elvathadrin). What I'd like to do is change it so if someone clicked on the PC Name in that box, was taken to my custom sheet, rather than the OP sheet. Anyone able to helpo?
As always, thanks. This is the best community to work with by far.
I'm a brand new user, I just started getting set up about ten minutes ago, and I think I may have done something wrong... On my main page it lists my campaign twice. I'm not sure why. There's no difference in the "slug tag" except that one has a "/" after it and the other doesn't. Is this normal? Did I accidentally create two of these? I'm just worried about my players starting to use these and different people ending up using different ones, and all of a sudden the entire campaign is split between two separate entries. Oi.
The problem is, the Black background limits the Dynamic Character sheets I can use. I need some CSS code that make the Indivdual Character's have a white background. The bit I'm missing is this: How do I actually use the danged thing in my campaign? All of my searches end up pointing me back to the instructions on how to *create* a new character sheet, but I haven't yet found anything on how to *use* one that somebody else created.
If someone could either explain how to use the thing (if you assume I'm a half-wit and thus use small words with lots of clear detail, that'd be just fine) or point me toward the forum post or helpfile explaining it all, it'd be most appreciated.
I complement the notes with maps, abridged NPC / monster stats and pictures that I can show my players during session.
After the session I use them as a starting point for Adventure Logs.

What I would like to do is have some links/buttons in the NPC / monster stats that can roll their attacks and damage, maybe perception checks and those sort of things. The results could show up in a simple pop-up window.

It doesn't need to be interactive/editable from the page, just as long as I can change the code when I edit the wiki, manually inserting the correct number of die and modifiers for each stat block.

I tried to cannibalize the d20srd.org dice roller script, (http://www.d20srd.org/scripts/diceRoller.js), but it seems like Obsidian Portal doesn't allow javascript.

Is there some way to do it? Or do you have other interactive code examples that I could use as a starting point?

Thanks in advance.

CSS on Mobile - Optimization Think Tank

Some great points have been raised, across various threads, about how our OP campaigns look on mobile platforms - both phones and tablets. I think this is a discussion we ought to have, as the mobile market grows and more and more people start wanting to view OP pages on mobile. It's really convenient to be able to whip out your phone while you're at the gaming table and check a few things, but functionality can become compromised the more we do to spice up our campaign designs.

I thought it best to start a new topic for it, instead of hijacking a different one (namely the October COTM thread). So: what can we, as members of OP, do to our campaigns to make them look better for mobile browsers? What are we doing currently that is hampering this?

To start us off, Gaaran pointed out in the COTM thread that menus and other content that fall outside the fixed-width "white box" of our campaigns are clipped out, and won't display on mobile platforms. I know that floating menus to the left of the campaign are very popular on a lot of campaigns, but to those who use them, does knowing they don't display on mobile platforms make you consider removing yours? What alternative solutions can we come up with for people who want to phase theirs out?

[D&D/PF Magic Items] Ring of Wizardry (and Rings generally)

The general question is whether it is possible to 'juggle' magic rings, and how that would work. Given that it is physically possible to wear multiple magic rings, but that only two such rings can be effective, it should be possible to change the ones that are active.

For example (completely arbitrary), consider a character who has a _ring of feather falling, ring of force shield,_ and _ring of protection_. The first is activated by circumstance, the second can be activated/deactivated at will, and the third is continuously active; so what happens if the character has the shield active and falls? Could the character suppress the Ring of Protection to allow both the Ring of Feather Falling and the Ring of Force Shield to remain active? I guess there is a secondary question there about whether rings of the continuous variety can be deactivated or suppressed without removing them, and if not, whether such a ring interferes with any others if there is a 'more than 2' effect in play. That is, does the fact that a Ring of Protection is continuous, and the fact that the character has more than 2 rings mean that none of the rings work at all?

Enter the Ring of Wizardry. The question here is, what happens if a character removes, deactivates, or suppresses this ring _after_ casting spells associated with it (i.e. the extra spells prepared by wearing the ring). Is there a difference if the spell has an instantaneous duration/effect (e.g. _fireball_ ), an instantaneous effect but lasting duration (e.g. _sleep, summon monster_ ), or a lasting duration/effect (e.g. _charm person_ )? What about spells that require concentration (e.g. _flaming sphere, silent image_ )? Does the wizard lose other prepared spells of the level in question, or just the (expired/used) spell slots? In the case of a lasting duration or effect, is the spell cut short?

The ring is based on _limited wish_ which seems like it could go either way on this, but I'd like to get some other DMs' perspectives here.

I've noticed on a few OP sites that some of the Adventure Logs have a (seemingly) static entry at the top, and then the rolling entries below. I'm curious, how is this done? Am I missing something and this can be adjusted via normal controls, or is this some fancy coding footwork?
