My personal preference is to make pages with all the relevant information accessible like "so":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/tales_of_the_empire_sac/wikis/the-imperial-cults but it is a minor pain to always have to link to a specific part of the page using a full link. So I was wondering how people prefer to organize their own pages and also which way people prefer to read this kind of information.

Is it possible to do this either in the Maps section, or on a wiki page? I couldn't see any way to do so in the maps section - it just wants an image uploaded from my computer, which may be my final resort if I can't use what I've already made. In the wiki, the normal html tags for embedding the map didn't work for me, but I'm no pro - it was just a copy and paste job from what they gave me. Anyone know how to do this?
Generally I don't like to do that, but for example on any of my character "lists":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/return-to-the-time-of-troubles/wikis/adventuring-party where I have external information that can be accessed like a full picture of the character(click on the head shot) I want a new window to open rather than go to the page. I have the link setup with target="_blank" which should force it to do so but it doesn't. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a quirk of OP?

I have a method of improvising skill challanges that is really fun and simple! The main thing is to give the narrative to the players and let them tell me what they will try to do and how they will try to do it, any skill is alowed.
One way of doing this is to use what I like to call the montage. If a group is travelling in a storm or tracking in harsh terrain or even training for a dungeon, you can tell them you`d like them to describe a cinematic montage in skills.
I have also done bar fights as skill challanges a few times, those have been really fun, the characters have been free to swing from the chandelier, to throw mugs and chairs and even members the band or to play tricks, what ever they want...

A standard way of reward for sucsess can be temporary hp or a bonus on the next roll or maby an extra action point. Failure can mean loosing healing surges, action points... Or something more story driven for either result.

I would like to see other methods or ideas for improvising encounters and challanges. Thanks:)

The signup page lists the extra campaigns, greater storage space, visibility controls, extra maps, forum, calendar, search, multiple GMs, email notifications, no ads, and google analytics. However, if I'm editing a character, I see that there if I am ascendant (I'm the GM of my campaign) I get access to an additional box that is shared between the GM and the player that owns that character. So that's one perk that is not on the signup page's list.

What other perks are there that are only documented where they come up and so I might not have noticed yet? Is there an actual full list of everything you get for being ascendant somewhere?

Hey everybody,

I've come to ask some advice from any dedicated pathfinder-heads out there, my group is going to be trying out Pathfinder for a while as I'm completely enamored with it at the moment. Perhaps my rose colored "played more 3e than any other edition" goggles coupled with my recent distaste for the glut of 'power card bonanza' feeling I get from 4e have put me in such a state, but regardless I'm loving the system so far - I've picked up all the core books after having gotten the beginner box for xmas. It's time to dive in!

What I need is suggestions for what to run, I'd like to just start using a published adventure to get a good feel for the system and I'm looking for suggestions. Trying to deviate from anything too sinister/dark as my players just got out of a Ravenloft campaign prior to this one. I'm looking for something a little more along the lines of typical fantasy fare but with some personality of its own, along with room to breathe or add in my own twists/customizations. Players will be starting at level 1.

Any ideas? I'm late to the pathfinder community and have NO idea where to start!

I modified a table made for someone else for my own purposes but was wondering if/how I could change the border to this color (6E5626) all my attempts have failed. It's a small detail but it would be nice.

I'd also like to take a moment to thank all the contributors. I spent a day looking at other campaigns and the forums it was encouraging to see how helpful the community here is.

So thanks for all your hard work guys and ChainsawXIV. old joke :)
I used gnunn's fantastic Sidebar How-to but have spaces between the bold text and the lists. Is it possible to remove them?

So I've been doing some sifting through the forums and I can find a lot of threads telling people how to change their font to one of the "standard" web fonts. So how do I change the text to a font that isn't on the list? If I want to use something crazy lie Chiller or a runic font or... well anything that isn't on that list?
