I'd just like to say that I am currently running a play-by-post Kingmaker campaign, and I would have liked to have used Obsidian Portal, but I didn't for the lack of an integrated forum die roller. Therefore, I opted for Myth-Weavers instead. Although I know there are websites that provide online die-rolling functionality such as Invisible Castle, it's a hassle to have to go to a separate website to roll dice, and it would have placed an increased learning curve on some of my players who are new to the pbp format. Therefore, I wanted a site that would do the die rolling natively within the framework of the forum. With that being said, I would still prefer to be able to run my game on Obsidian Portal because of this forum's superior mobile functionality. Therefore, if you add die-rolling functionality in the future, I will strongly consider switching my game to this site.

1) A save and continue option. Either you risk lossing your work and having to start over again or you spend an annoying amount of time reopening your character to continue updating.
Being able to organize my npcs in one place and link them into campaign writups without having to create a new wiki page for each one is really a time saver. The Dresden Files RPG treats Locations in the same way as characters. They have traits and motivations and real game system effects. I would love a separate Locations tab that works exactly the way the Characters tab does, with a quick location add sidebar for when we're "in the thick of it".
In the forums tag in my opinion it would be much more useful if instead of the "creator" column there was a "last updated by", "last replied" or "last spoke" column, with a name of the author of the latest entry - it would make tracking the discussion easier (i.e. "if it's not me in this column, it means someone replied something")

I don't know if this is a request so much as a suggestion, but the "System" list in the right-hand sidebar that you use to filter searches is starting to look a little messy and inconsistent.

Some games (e.g. D&D) have each new rules set listed as separate options (e.g. D&D 3.0, D&D 3.5, D&D 4E), whereas some (e.g. Legend of the Five Rings) have gone through several iterations of rules but are listed as a single link that encompasses all of them.

Would it make more sense to have "System" and "Setting" separated out somewhat? So, for example, D&D 3.5 and D&D 4e might be listed under System but the games could have "Eberron", "Forgotten Realms", or whatever for Setting.

I realise this might be a lot of work to go through the list and tidy it up (perhaps members could take over the data entry side of things?), and I'm not sure what implications it would have for existing campaign pages, but I thought I might as well throw it out there to see what people think.

However... The current way the gallery is set up doesn't allow for you to update, reuse or even find a specific piece of art, particularly as I like to repeat images like character portraits (as PCs & NPCs reoccur in the story) .

What I would like to see?

A single art gallery used for ALL art; including maps, character portraits and Wiki pages.
The ability to view and sort your gallery by different categories; (particularly) alphabetical, date, size, tag, file format etc.
The ability to update an image and in turn update all it's uses across the site.

I might send this request directly to the (awesome) powers that be BUT, I thought I'd run it by the community to make sure I'm not the only person who would appreciate this and if there's any other additional ideas we could include.
While having the wiki public is awesome, the forum tends to be where my players talk about private matters and locations that we would rather not have broadcast onto the web at large. I try to encourage using the forum in OP to drive them to have a reason to login and see the new pages, etc. Having to filter what might become public hampers that - many are very security conscious and would simply stop using the forum instead. :(
Perhaps there is something you would like to add to your campaign wiki that is a secret to the players, but you would like for the campaign's regular visitors to be able to see it. In addition to the GM only check box, I propose a "hidden to players" option. The GM only option is nice for secrets you don't want _anyone_ to know, but it lacks versatility. I would like an option that makes a page invisible to anyone in the campaign, and visible to anyone not in the campaign or not logged in. Now I realize that players could circumvent it by just logging out, but I trust my players. I have the same trust that they aren't going to fudge rolls or add random gold to their sheets. Anyway, just a random idea. I don't know if it has been thought of before, or if it is even viable from a programming standpoint. I just thought I would share.

The feature should be part of a user's existing account, and possibly an ascendant-only feature. The purpose is basically to enable users, particularly GMs - but just about anyone could make use of it, to interact on the site, particularly the forums, in cognito. For example, if I want to run a published adventure or an encounter with a dragon (or other monster/challenge/etc.), and want to ask if anyone's got tips on how to set up & run the adventure, it'd be great to be able to do so without potentially ruining the surprise. That's a very basic example, and I imagine the uses it would most likely find would be more significant, but I don't want to spoil any surprises.

While Ctrl+Z is great for achieving this most of the time; it seems that the relevant memory is erased as soon as the page is previewed (not saved).

It might be easiest just to ensure that the relevant memory persists even through a page preview, but one alternative is to add a [Undo All Changes] or [Reset Changes] feature, so that one can just go back to the original without cancelling and reopening the edit page. Note that this is a separate idea from the page rollback feature requested elsewhere, in which a page could be reverted to a previously saved version.

Hey, I love the idea of customizing the heck out of my game pages here.
