We run a somewhat unusual Pathfinder variant in which there is no XP, and players simply purchase levels, feats, skills and other stuff with gold. We've also got a variation of E6 going in which characters stop gaining hit dice, BAB and Saves at 6th level, but can continue gaining class features. We're in an open playtest right now as we work out the kinks, but we'd love to have a few more folks coming and going to flesh out the cast of characters.

"In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV."

I am looking for up to 24 players to play as tributes in the 47th Annual Hunger Games. Each player will start out at their district's reaping and play from there.

I want to be up front in saying that this is a Player vs Player game, and some of your characters will likely be killed within a short time of getting into the arena. There can be only one winner.

That does not mean it is going to be a combat only game, however. There should be plenty of room for RP for those who wish it!

We will be a play by post game using the Chronicles system, which is currently only available via the Song of Ice and Fire Role Playing Game. Combat is short and brutal, and the system includes a realistic array of skills.

For those of you who do not have the books, you can read the "Quickstart Guide.":http://grfiles.game-host.org/gr_files/SiF_Fastplay.pdf It does not contain everything you will need, but will give a good overview of the game system. I can provide you with any other information required on an individual basis.

Slots will fill up on a first come, first served basis, so don't wait to post your pick.

I've been on this site for a little while but have yet to introduce myself. Just waiting to build my campaign site a little so I could get some feedback.

My friends and I have just started playing D&D 4e in Nabari, Japan. This is the first time playing for a few and my first time "really" DMing. It's been a really enjoyable ride so far and I'm really diggin' the DM seat ;)

To get the feel for things I've been using an adventure from the DM kit with a few of my own touches. It's been taking a while to get though and am always looking for ways to improve the gaming experience.

This site has been really useful for collecting my thoughts and putting the information out there for the players to look at. It's still a work in progress and there's still I'd like to do to make it look nicer.

Been playing and DMing since basic DnD. I've played all the editions with the exception of 3.5. Played a bunch of other RPGs but keep coming back to DnD. I'm running a solo campaign with a friend who is also my DM in his own campaign. We are currently using 4E. I've been looking for a creative outlet and creating my own campaign world was always a favorite. We decided to try OP after using Google Wave as an online RP resource. We are using the Forums section for back and forth role play and doing combat on the Virtual Table on the Wizards of the Coast site. Since I am running my friend through a side campaign, and we live a 100 miles apart, we don't get together for live role play. Would love pointers and feedback on my story as it develops. I call my campaign Violent skies. Feel free to take a look and watch it grow. Thanks!

This game is set after the ending of both series, in 2012. We’re using the Buffy and Angel corebooks, specifically the cinematic Unisystem game. It’s mostly roleplay and a touch of combat, with puzzles to crack.

“Chosen” is an online game, meeting weekly in the Pen and Paper games chat rooms at 1 p.m. –10 GMT on Sunday. If you’re interested but can’t necessarily make that time, there may be room for being flexible for another time.

This is an open call for anyone who’d like to do some roleplaying of original characters but set in the Buffy and Angel world. Ultimately your characters are the heroes. (Although that’s not to say you might get you might have a run with either star of the series.)

Game Style: Play by Post
Game Premise: There are 8 districts in the city of Cresslu'velve, and each district is ruled by a Major House. The matrons of these houses make up the the Kult'ressinen, the ruling body of the city. Among these, there is a Great House, who's voice carries the most weight, and who every other house strives to overthrow to take their place.

Below these eight Major Houses are numerous Minor Houses. Just as the Major Houses strive to become the Great House, so to do the Minor Houses strive to usurp the Major House they serve.

Right now we have 5 players, so the Great House will be NPCed. If we get 8 players, then I will choose who's house is the Great House based on your stats. If we get more than 8, then we will begin to have player controlled Minor Houses, as well.

Magic will still be present, and mechanics have already been created for it.

I have ran up to 24 campaigns online, 10 years in total running games online. 20 years of table top gaming, i also run for two table top groups(Meaning the count of campaigns here are only the online campaigns i speak of) each once a month as well as running here. 18 campaigns completed, most going close to 600 sessions, nothing less then 400 session, the uncompleted campaigns each went above 100 sessions.

To answer some criticism most people assume up-front -

I do not aim to run a heavy rp interaction or hack n slash game, i put the same hard working effort into all areas of the game though i do not try an balance things out, i give what the situation calls for. That maybe heavy rp interaction for several sessions or hack n slash for a number of sessions, mixed if the situation calls for it.

Wisdom ability stat has been taken out due to no cleric class and skills do not work off ability scores here.

Alignments: Chaotic Neutral is the only choice for the current campaign(home brewed). You may have a opinion on this but please keep it to yourself for when you go an run your game(If you choose to share your opinion to make a point then i will simply not DM you).

OpenRPG
Advanced dungeons and dragons 2ed revamp games are ran on OpenRPG.

OpenRPG is a chat program like mirc but way less chaotic, once you open the program you can browse the servers. There are only a few, each containing a lobby room plus created rooms by users.

On the left side of the program is and area for files(called nodes on openrpg), these files can be sent back an forth between users. Meaning DM can send you a characters sheet, you open the sheet an fill it in, send it back as if at the table passing your sheet to the DM.

You will also notice buttons(dice buttons), press for example a d6 an it will pop up in the chat room. When you sign into a server you go right into the lobby try not to roll dice there cause some people get annoyed an that can get you booted or banned from a server.

2. What is the setting for the game? Dragon Age universe. More specifically, We will start in Ferelden and move slowly into Orlais. The overall goal is to introduce the players to the grey Wardens and initiate at least one of them in preparation for the blight. We will mostly be using the official adventures with my own warden themed ones as well.
3. How many Players are you looking for? 3-6.
4. What's the gaming medium? Maptool/Skype. (will consider Ventrilo if enough people want it)
5. What is the characters' starting status? You will begin hired as a mercenary/bodyguard for an escort mission. Other than that it is up to you.
6. How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with? The default for the core rulebook, which is around 50 silver. Equipment can be requested depending on character backstory.
7. Are there any particular character classes, professions, orders, etc. that you want... or do not want? Up to the players, though I request at least one mage of any background (for plot).
8. What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game? All; up to players.
9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points? According to the core rules. Character generation will happen during the first session and rules explained for those with no experience.

12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? No, Maptool has a good fan-made framework that handles die rolling well.

I am currently looking for players for my play by post game. I will be working over the next few days to get our wiki up so you can get to know our home brew world, but here are some things you might want to know right away if you are thinking about joining:

I will say this first, as it is very important: I intend this to be a mature game with dark themes. It is intended for mature players only, so if that does not interest you or you are not at least 18 years of age or older, do not sign up!

Second, this will be played entirely though posts in the forum and/or adventure log.

Other useful to know things:

As of right now, the party consists of: A cleric and one undecided.

The playable races are: Elves, Humans, Half Elves, Karn (Dwarves), Vershaan (Halflings), and Star Touched (Aasimar and Tieflings). Many of these will have modifications and subtypes, as well as unique cultures. More information can be found in the Wiki (as we build it), but if you have questions about something before it is put up feel free to send a PM.

Virtually all classes should be acceptable, though if you have something in mind that is from a 3rd party source, please PM DMStoryteller and I can review it.

This campaign will be a (hopefully) pleasing mix of combat, role play and intrigue. Bonus XP will be given for particularly thoughtful, surprising, and/or in depth role play. The game will start with each PC separately and without them knowing one another unless that is a part of your history or back story. There may also be opportunities for PCs to do individual or group side quests. We will be start with the slow XP progression, though that is subject to change if we find it makes things too slow.

Magic will be medium to low. Spell casters are not common (About 1 in every few thousand to 1 in tens of thousands, depending on the location), and there are places where spell casting can be quite dangerous. That said, we will NOT be putting any restrictions on the number of casters in the party. As for magic items, those can be acquired almost easily in some places, not at all in others, and likely will be found more often then bought.
