Looking for Volunteers!
October 2010
I'm more of an IF (interactive fiction) fan myself. I don't have the time for the creative writing needed for CHYOA But if you want coding help I can do that.

Yep, you can hire me by sending me the music you want to use, the images and videos a rough idea on how it is to go together and feedback on how it looks :) I've only had one commission before which was a special circumstance - a wedding proposal…

There's the editing page where we put in the sheets we're working on, that list all the ones currently in production or development:- "http://www.obsidianportal.com/dynamic_sheet_templates":http://www.obsidianportal.com/dynamic_sheet_templates

My first thought is that the newer version of textile must be parsing some of it that it shouldn't or that the CSS has changed for OP as a whole. I can only speculate though.

Actually, I remembered YouTube changed the sound on many of those, so you can find the originals "here":http://www.curufea.com/videos as soon as I finish uploading them :)

I'm not keen on text as image for accessibility reasons. At least make sure you have alt text and preferably a title as well for mouseovers. Also the navigation menu is offscreen if viewed on a monitor with 1024 width (such as my secondary monitor…

True - I think the main problem was just using the flickr image's page rather than the direct link to the image :)

Firstly, I wouldn't put in so many divisions - just use one division with all the styles in a single attribute- Secondly, I'd put in display block and put in the direct URL to the image, not the Flickr page- http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4113…

No prob. I only read that part of the schema last week myself :) Although it was to help answer someone's question on the style attribute for a tag (again you can't do pseudo classes)

However, that being said - HTML5 may be a viable option if OP changes the schema declaration at the start of each page.

CSS for the pseudo classes must be declared in the head area of a page - this includes things like the hovering, visited and activated subclasses for links. So it's not coding - it's lack of access to anything other than the body of a page.

Wide Wiki Tables?

Microsoft went with the "lets make it look EXACTLY like what things look like in Office, without in any way tidying the code or simplifying it". Which created the whole industry of software of "lets fix Microsoft code so it's readable and complia…

Wide Wiki Tables?

Try using HTML code instead of textile? However, generally lots of columns in a table lack accessability - they aren't easy to read and you should be looking at a different way to express the information.

Ah! Sorry, I was thinking of something else. I hadn't heard the phrase "commenting out" before - I'm familiar with commenting or documenting :) I don't think textile allows hidden text that you could use for adding comments to a page that would …

Wiki Calendar?
October 2010
You may need to allocate time for things and keep a record. Whenever someone asks, you can't just say "late afternoon" (which my last GM for a D&D-ish game was renowned for doing). You could date the sessions at the start of every session.

If you use HTML for your wiki pages, most browsers allow the title attribute for any tag, so if they hover over the element, they'll get a hint.

I'd put the navigation on the right - out of first view of the mobile browser. Page content is more important IMHO. It would be good to see a variant of a print stylesheet for mobiles though.
