I don't know if this is a feature request or just a question of how to best do something, but I am curious about some sort of linkable Table of Contents for longer Wiki pages. I've seen some sites (like pbwiki.com) that have applets/scripts that automatically create a ToC for a page based on heading settings. Is something like that even possible here?
Otherwise, is it possible to link to locations inside a page? Even something like a "Top" navigation to return to the top of the page would be handy for some of the longer Wiki pages.
Any suggestions on how to do this with the current formatting would be handy. I've messed around with it a little, but I'm certainly no expert.
There _may_ be a way to link inside of a page using Textile, but it's probably not worth the effort. Your best bet is to break things up into multiple pages, if possible.
To be totally honest, advanced wiki features are at the low end of the priority list. There are a lot of other things to do, and the wikis are in a "good enough" state right now. Not great, but functional.
Thanks for the tip. We do take these suggestions into account when planning what to work on. Usability is a big deal, and we will try to make the wikis more user friendly just as soon as we have the time.
Mostly I was just curious if something existed already.
I'm really liking the site as a whole, and am really impressed with the layout. It's very clean and extremely user friendly. I've never used Textile before, so that's a whole learning curve there (I'm more accustomed to BBcode and html), but it seems to be a nice system, and certainly easy to use.
I, too, am still learning my way around the textile syntax but I think I am getting the hang of it. I am presently using the player wiki page as a links page to the content pages specifically. I am sure you could list the contents under the link to the page. That would give you your table of contents but also break up the content into smaller, separate pages.

It's nice to hear that you think the site is user friendly. That's what we're going for.
