Grooveshark and Google Maps

OK, prior to the reforge, I used Grooveshark embeds to put up Episode and Character Theme songs.

I also had Google Maps at the bottom of each of my City Boroughs to show where each location was

Now, the Grooveshark embeds come up HUGE and the Google Maps won;t place right

I've removed the google Maps temporarily

However, I'd like to restore both to functionality.

Don;t want to scream for Vanguard help yet, as these are minor issues and I have my site pretty much restored

Any help would be appreciated

I couldn't get my grooveshark embeds to work at all -- just a huge blank space! It's making me a little nuts since all the players spent time picking out theme songs for their characters...

I haven't tried messing with it, but make we can style the embed with css?

EDIT: Yeah, we can style them. Using the "oembed" class (I think the old code used a p tag and the new media embed button uses a div), you can add style="height: 60px;overflow:hidden;padding:0;margin:0;" as inline CSS to restrict it to 60px high. I haven't had a chance to fuss with the custom CSS for the whole campaign yet, but that should work too.

Grooveshark links are one of the last items that I have on my plate as well- videos now work, but not the Grooveshark.

Madartiste, could I bug ya for a complete example? I'm not following,

And aside from finishing cleaning my Adventure Logs, the Grooveshark links are all I have left to fix (plus a few images here and there)

Keryth, sorry if I'm doing a poor job explaining myself. Inline CSS would be CSS you put into the campaign *pages* content as you're editing them rather than doing it in the custom css portion in the styles section of the dashboard.
This is what I mean:

The part that is style="" is inline css. "This might explain it better":http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_howto.asp

Alternately if you want to style ALL the divs with oembed as a class you could put something in your custom css section:
@div.oembed {height: 60px;overflow:hidden;padding:0;margin:0;}@

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the grooveshark links work at all, and I haven't heard whether that's something they intend to fix or not.

Keryth, the links are working for you? I can't seem to get them to actually function. I can change the size they take up, but nothing shows up in that space...

Madartiste, Yes, they work. I have them up on my Character pages and my Session Synopsis Pages and they look and work fine.

Used the code you gave me.

They show up in IE, Chrome, and Firefox, though not the version I use at work (which is probably because it is in Porivate mode then)

Huh! So weird. I actually can't see the songs on your pages either. I guess it must be something on my end. Thanks for letting me know!

I can't see the songs either. I go to the Andromeda character page, and I see black text that says "Theme Song" but there is nothing but whitespace around/near it.

Using Chrome.

That is weird.

It shows on my Firefox at home and just checked it on Chrome here at work. Shows and can be clicked to play, bot on the Session pages and the Character Sheets.

I even put up a new one which works on Episode 6's new page (as Episode 6 begins this coming Saturday)

Though, still not showing in Firefox at the office. Wonder if it is something to do with versions or such?

That *is* super weird. I hope it means the grooveshark stuff isn't broken _forever and ever_ but just temporarily glitched. I really liked everyone having theme songs.

Temporary fix/replacement:

I've replaced all my Grooveshark links with sizeable YouTube videos. Not as sleek looking as the Grooveshark links, but they have the same functionality (and library, as the Sound system referenced in the Media Embed does not have most of the music I needed)

I saw that wolfhound used a soundcloud link. I also hope that grooveshark links are not dead, but that may be a replacement
