I guess there's something to be said for YouTube as a trusted source, but I've known people who got blasted from YT videos, plus the media embed function here isn't limited to YouTube, so...
Oh, there are ways they can do it, it is absolutely possible to limit the sources you allow with such an implementation (this is why there are still plenty of sites out there which allow this, they just restrict it a bunch to trusted stuff usually). So, yea, wasn't trying to say that it CAN'T be done, just likely why it hasn't been done here as of yet (it takes a bit of extra effort).
