Old school tables as an android app for player or dm

Since the early eighties I have been fascinated with the possibility of taking some of the confusion and work out of pencil and paper games by using computers to do what they do well -calculate, look stuff up and present text on demand. Now I am a partner in an android app company and I think I have finally found a venue for what I want to do. I created an app based on hyperlinked tables and text that contained all the stuff I used on a regular basis to DM 1st edition, then I started adding stuff that "would be nice to have", so I ended up with all the character tables, attribute tables, hit tables, saving throw tables, spell tables and spells up to 5th level and other stuff. Then my partner who is a better programmer than me got involved and we made it a little prettier and easier to use.

We have posted a beta version on the android market. I submit it to you for your approval. It is still heavily influenced by the way my group plays (currently no assassin, bard, cavalier, barbarian or thief acrobat info as we don't play them - may add it in if there is a demand. Didn't include weapon specialization or a lot of other stuff from the arcana era as we don't use it. Did include most all the spells I knew existed - even orisons. Working on getting more data in there asap, but no guarantees when. Just keep updating it from the market. The interface is where we want it pretty much, I am working on inputting spells - its an ongoing thing.

I believe all of the stuff I used is covered by the open gaming license and don't believe I am stepping on anyone's toes - but if I am please tell me. It is not as polished as it will be and I am also sure there are typos and broken links so please yell if you see something. I did reword things where I thought it needed it and remove all references to copyrighted trademarks (Per the open gaming license and WOC) I found. It will run on a phone but at least a 7" tablet is best to run it and a 10" is better. Its a free download, there is no spyware or other nasty stuff, so try it out - if you don't like something or something is broken let me know here and I will try to fix it ASAP.

Big Lots has a cruz 7" tablet on sale for $89 that is capacitive screen - runs the tables just fine - very limited otherwise - For the geekier among us the directions for rooting, cleaning, and installing the real android market on it -

Its kinda slow and wont run 3d games at all (NO Angry birds) but it is a good reader with moon + reader and the battery lasts for a really long time -

Its out of beta - all the spells are in there - all the classes (even Cavaliers, assassins and thief acrobats)- everything I originally envisioned and then some -

Please try it out - we have improved the interface so it works much better on phones now.

Hi, I have just dug my AD&D 2e books out of the loft and want to start playing again, This looks like a great app, any chance of 2E rules being added sometime?

Probably eventually we will be doing different rules versions, how soon I am not sure. Will keep you posted though.
