Changing the overall background color

Is it possible to get rid of the eye-blinding default white backgrounds on every page? I know I can use tables and set the background color in there, but really id like something more like OP's main page: http://www.obsidianportal.com/ where the background color is a dark gray.

    Hey, I stole this off of someone else. I've been looking for it for a while. You can change the font, background color and word color. cheers.
