Newbie question -- my map doesn't fit

Hi, veterans. I'm just getting my Empty Throne campaign together and it looks like OP is going to be a godsend BUT it bugs me that, even though I've reduced our campaign map to a 500X500 pixel square, neither the preview nor the zoom shows the map in its entirety. Once you click on the zoom you can access the entire map by dragging it around, but still I'd be much happier if you could view the whole map at once.

If you'd like to take a glance and advise me, the page is here https://the-empty-throne-1.obsidianportal.com/maps

I don't know if we can do anything with the preview, but when I click on your map and zoom out with the controls to the left I can see the whole thing at once.

Also, I'm not sure what the original looked like, but from your description it sounds like you have a larger version - you may actually be more pleased with the result if you keep or blow up the map size (as high as 4096x4096) as you will have more zoom levels to play with once uploaded.

I would use whitespace on either side to prevent distortion of the map itself.

Does everybody else have this issue, that the preview only shows you a small portion of your map?

Yes, the maps previews do not show the full map. It might be working as intended?

We use the wiki for maps.

Click on that big map on the top.

Yeah, it just shows a section of the map cropped to fit the standard size. I suppose it isn't intended to be a preview, per se, so much as a thumbnail - helping with organization and visual recognition if you have multiple maps.
