The thing to keep in mind about the DSTs is that they are user created, so unless a change to the overall site since the creation of the DST in question "broke" something, that's just the way it was made.
The person making it might have made it to match their campaign, with limited experience, or any of a dozen other reasons for the choices made.
Unfortunately, you can't change anyone else's DST. But there are a few things to do. You could (1) see if the person who made it is still around and reach out to them to try and get an update. (2) create one yourself either from scratch or using the fields from the currently existing one as a starting point.

Could also petition Chainsaw to let you adopt it and work on it directly if it is abandoned.
