How long does it take for an invitation to reach a potential player?
Hi All,
I'm trying to setup my first campaign on here and I've invited my 4 players over a period of 48 hours or so. Two of them have received the invitation around the same time, although I sent them 12 hours apart, and one of them still hasn't received it after more than 24 hours. He has a created a profile, we have "befriended" each other on OP, he can see the campaign that I created, but the invitation just hasn't appeared in his emails and is shown as pending on my players list.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Am I being too impatient? I have sent reminders just in case, but to no avail, and he is wondering what is happening.
Any suggestion would be very welcome

I've had a similar issue with a few players not getting the invite. Have them make sure the invite isn't appearing in their spam folder, or have them make sure that they have the OP email address in their white list.
The email address I have for OP sending me things is, [email protected]. So if they add the @obsidianportal.com to their allowed sender accounts, they should get the invitation.
I just realized I didn't answer your question for how long the invite takes, provided nothing happens as far as the message traveling across the internet, I would imagine the longest it would take should be about 24 hours, but I can't say for certain the length of time it should take.

This is really upsetting me, I purchased account, set up 2 campaigns, sent out 9 invites over 48hours ago, resent multiple times between that time and nobody has received them. I had my wife set up and friend me and she still hasn't received invites.
This site looks to be what we need but I'm seriously considering getting a refund through my bank and wiping my hands of this place. I spent a weekend setting up 2 campaigns here, and maps feature doesn't work.
