What would be nice is if you could make a character's page a PDF (ie click on the character and it goes directly to a PDF in your browser). Many games provide PDFs and most browsers can read them. And making PDFs (or using official character sheet PDFs from the game creator) is much easier to deal with than the current DST character sheet creation on OP.

Campaign of the Year - 2018
So, the PDFs of those characters are from one I found online for the Call of Cthulhu game system. I don't remember if they were originally fillable, or if I made them that way. I do have full Acrobat,so I can take the time to add form fields to PDfs which allows you to add information relevant to that section. The red circles are just images that were dropped on the PDF as well as the character image. I don't off hand remember how I added them, but I know you can paste an image on to a PDF via full Acrobat. I'm sure there should be 3rd party programs that will allow you to do similar things as long as the PDF is not locked with a password.
To get the PDF to display on the character page, you add the following tag. I put it in the character description section my self.
<div class='oembed external-link'><a href=''></a></div>
You put the path to the PDF document in the href tag. The PDFs for New York Nightmare on stored on my personal server, but you can also upload PDFs to your media library and using the path to where the file is stored, serve up that character sheet. That's what I am doing for my current Deadwood Deacon campaign.
For instance, the PDF for the character of Chi'el Running Wolf, is in my media library at the following URL, https://db4sgowjqfwig.cloudfront.net/campaigns/78133/assets/900435/Chi_el_Running_Wolf.pdf?1537053310
You can get the URL of the file after you upload it to your meda library, just navigate to the library in the browser, and using the view file button, the chain icon, you load the file into the browser, then just copy the URL from the address bar and past it into the href of that tag.
The only drawback to that is that if a player updates their character in the PDF, they'll need to delete the previous one and re-upload the new version to your media library and then find out what the new URL is and update their character sheet. At least that's the only way I've gotten it to work correctly.
Let me know if you've got any other questions or if I didn't explain it well enough.

I used.
In both John's and my solution there is the possibility of the embedded pdf not loading which is why I usually add a direct link to the pdf on page as well. The non loading issues seems to occur more often with firefox than ie, chrome or safari. Usually, a reload of the page fixes the problem.
