This is a new feature we just added.

If a DST field has the class "dsfu" (aka "dsf updatable") ... as well as the normal "dsf" class and the "dsf_[fieldname]" class ... then when the Character/Item/WikiPage is saved, and being displayed in the "show" view, these "dsfu" fields can be clicked on and changed right there.

This could be used for fields that get updated a lot like Hit Points or Conditions or Initiative Order.

This works for text and for checkboxes. And if you wanted to get fancy, you could figure out the post url and use some other JavaScripty ways of having the member interact with the sheet in the "show" view. Like maybe the sheet would "remember" which tab of the sheet the member had open last.

This could also be used to make a "Quests" Wiki Page DST, so the Players can check off the quests that they have finished without having to Edit the Wiki Page.
