Just this really simple one I put together: https://soulstones.obsidianportal.com/characters/blank-character-sheet-1

What would also work would be to have a field with a button you could click to increment the field, and another button to reset the field. If you can't tell, my knowledge of html is along the lines of "make this bold" or "put a link here". :P

Silent Winter
October 2009
I'd like to submit my new campaign, Silent Winter (http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/silent-winter/wikis/main-page) for featuring. Not only am I constantly adding new artwork that I've created myself, but all of my players are active in postin…

Character Advice. Plz? DnD 3.5
July 2009
It's difficult to mess up a cleric in 3.5. It looks like you have the War and Fire domains, correct? Specific tactics depend a lot on the campaign you are in. Don't memorize healing (apart from the Heal spell, since you can't spontaneously cast…

Anyone Need Portraits?
July 2009
Sure, galwinganoon! Send me your info. I want to work up to getting paid for this, but I'm well aware that as an artist sometimes you need a few good loss leaders to get exposure and bring in customers. So what I'm proposing for now is to take …

Inbox claiming new messages
July 2009
Hi, my inbox says that I have 2 new messages despite the fact that I read all the messages and then deleted them. I don't think I did anything unusual--I logged in, noted that there were messages, clicked on the hotlink in my profile page, then del…

Anyone Need Portraits?
July 2009
Hi, it's been a while since I posted (I've been busy), but I'm currently going to school for art so I'm always looking for opportunities to try new stuff. Currently I've been working on using Illustrator to produce portraits. Here's an example…

Aww, thanks guys. Sorry I haven't been around the past couple of weekends, my life has been a mess and I keep waking up really late and forgetting about the game. Normally I never do that. :(

How old are you?
March 2008
My brother Benjamin was DESPERATE to learn to read by the time he was in school because of RPG's and Magic cards. I played with my dad and my older brother, but we wouldn't let Benjamin play until he knew how to read and it INFURIATED him. He memo…

Review of Obsidian Portal
February 2008
Ah, so it's not a "never give out a 5 on principle" thing, just that a lot of things generally have flaws. I've only given out a few 5 ratings to books I've reviewed on my blog: The Virginian, They Made America, I think maybe one other. Of course,…

Review of Obsidian Portal
February 2008
Why even have a 5 rating if you never give it out to anything, then? All you're doing is saying that you're a cynic and nothing can ever be good enough for you. The ability to find flaws in anything is not something to brag about. Even notoriou…

Don't test the characters, test the players! One of the big characteristics of many ancient legends involving sun gods also involve a descent into the underworld, where the god endures being stripped of possessions, dignity, pretensions, and li…

Why do you love RPGs?
February 2008
Rob, you haven't failed as a writer until after you're dead. You may have failed of a particular writing project or at getting paid for anything you've produced *thus far*, but as long as you're still putting words on a page, you're a successful wr…

Revised Grappling Rules
January 2008
I think the biggest issues with grappling always came from the fact that a medium creature *cannot grapple* a Huge creature, but the huge creature can grapple YOU. This doesn't exactly make sense when it's an opposed roll. There were some improvem…

Revised Grappling Rules
January 2008
I posted some revised rules for grappling in my House Rules section on the Party Wiki for Brave New World. I know lots of people have problems with the way grappling is done in 3.5. What are some specific problems people have?

A character building exercise
January 2008
I generally develop odd little bits of flavor for my characters as the game goes along. This may just be a result of the fact that I don't like blank time in the middle of my games, so I tend to just throw out random stuff that we can RP about whil…

Thanks for the positive comments. :) I like doing the writing for Darth's and my campaigns because I feel like I'm still (sort of) keeping active in my literary pursuits while I'm too worried about not having a job to work on my novel. When I was …

Chat-based games
December 2007
P.S. If the dice code in AIM intimidates your typing skills and you feel you need to cut and paste, you may want to reconsider playing a chat game. Ideally, the GM should be the fastest and most accurate typist in the group, and 60+ words a minute…

Chat-based games
December 2007
If you are planning on using AIM or Yahoo! Messenger, I advise getting Trillian. It's free, and it is REALLY nice for managing chat, especially if you wind up having to switch accounts because AIM is having conniptions. You can use the dice code (…

Chat-based games

The biggest thing, I think, that makes chat games different from in person games is that *everything must be stated explicitly*. The players are also a great deal more isolated from each other than they are in an in-person game. I have never seen …

Actually, no, still just the three players. We've been going along without any serious trouble, really, so I don't think it matters much.
